Flinders University is a public comprehensive university established in 1966 in Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, Australia. Ranked among the top eight research universities in Australia. "Flinders" originated from the name of Matthew Flinders, a navigator who sailed and explored the coast of South Australia in the early 19th century.
