University of Glasgow創立於1451年，是蘇格蘭歷史第二悠久、全英國校齡第四的公立大學及世界級百強名校。Glasgow培養出許多知名人物，這其中不僅包括「經濟學之父」亞當·斯密，首先提出熱力學溫標概念的開爾文，蒸汽機的改良者詹姆士·瓦特，以及外科手術消毒技術創立者約瑟夫·萊斯特等，更培養出四名現代高等教育大學的創始人。當中值得一提的是，著名的理論物理學家阿爾伯特·愛因斯坦於1933年被University of Glasgow授予名譽博士學位。另一方面大學的高教育標準、嚴格的入學要求（入學要求是英國第四高）和強大的國際學術研究及僱主聲譽使該大學成為全球各地優秀學生的競爭目的地。

Glasgow同時也是國際大學組織Universitas 21的締造者之一 ，以及英國精英大學集團Russell Group的締約成員。

教學研究涵蓋了所有當今科學的所有領域，包括心理學、生物學、醫學、商業、經濟學、管理學、法學、文學、考古學、藝術、物理學、工程學（航太工程，電子工程）等等，就整體而言，是一所綜合性大學。

你可以通過就讀與Kapland共同協辦，位於校園內的 Glasgow International College (GIC)的預科課程升入University of Glasgow完成學位課程。
